Christmas Messages
Greeting from Tampa! My message to all elected officials and politicians, peace is possible if justice is possible, so get off your fat backsides and ACT to deliver JUSTICE.
Christmas Messages from Churches in Holy Land! Our hearts still ache for Gaza.
As we approach holy season of Christmas, reflecting on the birth of Jesus (Prophet Issa) in Bethlehem, who brought a message of peace, it disheartening to see that the Palestine remains without justice and peace.
The birth of Jesus, a time for happiness, joy, and family gatherings, far removed from the daily suffering in Palestine, where genocide by the occupying regime continues while the world remains silent and unresponsive
While the world celebrates the festivities, Palestinians endure the destruction homes schools, mosques, churches, and infrastructure It heartbreaking to witness this ongoing suffering.
“We are angry. We are broken. This should have been a time of joy; instead, we are mourning. We are fearful.”
“If Jesus were to be born today, he would be born under the rubble in Gaza,” explained Rev. Dr. Isaac, who condemned using theology to justify Israel’s killing of innocent civilians. “If we, as Christians, are not outraged by the genocide, by the weaponization of the Bible to justify it, there is something wrong with our Christian witness, and we are compromising the credibility of our gospel message.”
“We look at the Holy Family and see them in every family displaced and wandering, now homeless in despair,” he said. “This is Christmas today in Palestine.”
“This is our message to the world today. It is a gospel message. It is a true and authentic Christmas message about the God who did not stay silent but said his word, and his word was Jesus. Born among the occupied and marginalized, he is in solidarity with us in our pain and brokenness.”
What is Christmas? A fantasy, commercialization, or reality?
The season of jingle bells, and candle lighting is upon us. Santa Claus, the mythical figure with white flowing beard and a red and white suit prepares to mount his sleigh and soar through the sky.
The necessity of such gimmicks during Christmas, which is based on the disputed claim that Prophet Isa [Jesus] was born on December 25, is questioned.
In fact, the origins of Christmas can be traced back a pagan festival that predates the of Jesus.
Be mindful of the Christmas festivities and the obligatory gift-giving that often leads to financial strain, debt, and benefits for capitalists.
Message from Rev. Dr. Isaac: We ask all those who celebrate Christmas all over the world: Pray for peace in Bethlehem, in Gaza and all over the Holy Land. We pray for an end to violence.

“The birth of Jesus, a time for happiness, joy, and family gatherings, far removed from the daily suffering in Palestine, where genocide by the occupying regime continues while the world remains silent and unresponsive.” Such a powerful sentence!
As a Palestinian, I’m glad to read that I’m not alone in the sentiment that there is a great divide between mainstream Christmas celebrations and the realities of Jesus’ home. I actually wrote a similar article to yours here: https://wheredidyasmingo.substack.com/p/who-is-christmas-actually-for
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and hope you have a Merry Christmas! 🎄
