The sermon by Pastor Chuck Baldwin.
Ayatollah Khomeini’s legacy continues to challenge Zionists, even 36 years after his passing.

“From the Moral Majority to A Moral Meltdown”
The title of today’s column is the same as the title of my homily last Sunday sermon, May 25, 2025. On this day, my wife and I—along with our local Liberty Fellowship family—commemorated the 50th anniversary of my ordination into the ministry. My message was a brief reflection of what I have seen and experienced in the last half-century.
The Moral Meltdown.
Those same evangelicals who worked so feverishly during the 80s and 90s to bring basic human goodness to America now support the destruction (genocide) of innocent men women and children—including Christian men, women and children—in Gaza and the Middle East.

Muslim and certain Jewish communities around the world are marking the 36th anniversary of Imam Khomeini's passing. In Iran, the Jewish community held a memorial service at the Yusef Abad Synagogue in Tehran, including Torah readings, Psalm, and speeches in his honor.
A week of commemoration as observed through radio and television broadcasts showcasing a poignant rendition of the hymn "Salamandeh," performed by children. This heartfelt recitation has instilled the gathering with a renewed sense of purpose and emotion, symbolizing the transmission of Khomeini's ideals to the next generation.
On that historic night after the attack on the seminary of Fawziyah in 1963, Imam said:
"Do not be distressed or worried. Cast aside fear and terror. You follow leaders who have endured calamities and tragedies far greater than what we witness today. Our noble Imams faced events such as Ashura…they bore immense hardships in the path of Islam. So, what are you saying today? What are you afraid of? Why this anxiety? ... By committing this crime, the ruling regime has exposed and disgraced itself, revealing its barbaric nature. In perpetrating this atrocity, the tyrannical regime has sealed its own defeat, and demise. We won. We prayed to God that this regime would expose its true nature—and now it has." (Shifah-ye Imam, Vol.1, p. 166).
How true this is in our times! Do not lose hope, with your voice, we shall achieve the triumph of truth over falsehood as Imam used to say, “I see that victory is engraved on your foreheads.”
Resistance movements owe profound gratitude to Imam Khomeini, who widely acknowledged revitalizing the Palestinian cause within the hearts and minds of the Islamic Ummah. Imam remained steadfast in his unwavering support for the Resistance Front in their mission to liberate Palestine and the sacred al-Quds.
The late Imam exemplified the principle of self-reliance, self-determination, non-alignment, independence, while resolutely opposing injustice and occupation. These values remain a lasting source of inspiration for resistance and liberation worldwide.
In 1968, Imam Khomeini issued his famous fatwa advocating for the allocation of khums and zakat to support the Palestinian cause.
Imam Khomeini undertook the significant action of closing the embassy of the Zionist regime, transforming it into the Embassy of Palestine, and declaring the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as "International Quds Day."
The Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat was the first to visit Iran, marking a significant strategic shift in relations with the Zionist regime, particularly following the signing of the Camp David Accords in 1978.
For over four decades, Iran has encountered numerous attempts to destabilize the Islamic Republic. These efforts include the failed Operation Eagle Claw by the United States, the fomentation of internal conflicts, targeted assassinations, sanctions aimed at regime change, and the invasion of Iran by the Iraqi Baathist regime, which was ethno-sectarian propaganda against the Islamic Republic in Arab media.
