This is a brilliant work; a moving documentary that encapsulates history. My heart is filled with sorrow, but also with unconditional love and compassion for the oppressed people. No one is free everyone is free. We are living in a deeply troubled world filled with extreme by Zionist and Christian evangelicals. It is neither difficult nor easy to watch, but I admire the bravery and courage of the children who fight against injustices and oppression. This was an extraordinary, powerful, and heartbreaking documentary. Everyone present was very sad but well-educated. It is very difficult to put the commentary into words. One must watch it.
Over one hundred people attended the documentary screening at MALV last night. Thanks to the organizers and management for their efforts. There are many other documentaries, such as “No Other Land,” “The War Around Us,” “Powerful Lobby,” and “BDS,” which can be shown during the month of Ramadan.
I had a personal encounter with an individual of Arab descent who questioned me my support for the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI). I simply shrugged and mentioned my support for Palestine. However, I feel the need to express that advocating for or defending the IRI does not make me "radioactive." He should read the book “In Defense of IRI” by Phil Wilayto, the editor of The Virginia Defender newspaper and author of “In Defense of Iran.”
This documentary was produced in May and June of 2022 in the West Bank where we see horrifying images of explosions and civilians with bloodied faces and limbs. We listen to the pain in the voice of a teenage boy confined to a wheelchair after becoming the victim of the Occupier’s terror reign. Our hearts again are wrenched as we witness what has become an unending cycle of violence against our unarmed Palestinian sisters and brothers. Many from outside the community expressed sympathy and the pain and questioned what we can do.
As the sister ______concludes, we should cease sending our dollars, whether tax dollars or in support of corporations that funnel wealth to Israel, contributing to the violence that harms innocent children. During this month of Ramadan, we should enforce BDS by boycotting goods from Israel, such as dates, and corporations like Coca-Cola, Starbucks, and others.
While watching the film " Where Olive Trees Weep," found myself shaking my head, with tears rolling down my cheeks and gasping in horror. What has the occupying Zionist State of Israel done to the Palestinians? Not only do the USA, Canada, and European countries remain silent, but they also facilitate this genocide, ethnic, and apartheid by supplying bombs, military equipment, and financial support.
Many questions arise into my mind as How could the world remain silent as children suffered under such brutal conditions? How could a land famous for its olive trees not know peace? Why is this happening is beautifully answered in the link below:
Israel is a settler colony, annexing native land is what it does

It is a sad irony that American are very angry about Donal Trump’s executive order on DEI where no children are killed and are now starting the campaign and sit in of the fortune 500 companies where as the BDS movement began in 2005 and American paid deaf ears or only lip service.
Al Quds, known as Jerusalem, and the entire land of Palestine stretching the River to the sea, is an ancient land significant to all three faiths and the land of the Prophets. Every stone and brick holds sacred history, and it is the home of the olive tree, a renowned symbol of peace and tranquility, yet trampled under Zionist oppression This centuries-old fruit bearer is ripped from its roots as though it holds no weight, no meaning.
The answer: settler-colonialism in all its glory. Settler colonialism is a cancerous ideology that seeks to uproot and dispossess the indigenous population on of a desired land, replacing them with a new group of White people.

The Zionist propaganda machine gives no room in which colonized Palestinians are the sole aggressors, and the Zionist Jews are the victim and leaving the poor colonizer Israel, the principal nuclear power in the Middle East, with no choice but to defend itself.
Israel’s perilous rhetoric portray itself the victim deliberately conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism. This strategy garners sympathy and unwavering support for Israel from the Western world, making it nearly impossible to criticize Israel and its of brute force Palestinians without being label an antisemite.

How, then, can we narrate our story without facing suppression? How can I appeal to a Western audience or individuals of faith who are already convinced that I belong to a group of savage terrorists and persuade them of my right to exist freely?
Only through this type of film, which does not omit the gruesome details of settler-colonialism and military occupation for over 75 years, can the resilience of the Palestinian people be truly understood. They have kept their heads high and have not migrated, much to the dismay of their oppressors. These are the lessons for humanity.
The film beautifully documents the resistance or intifada. How can I remain silent when an apartheid power is actively profiting from the conquest of my land? How can I be asked to “understand both sides” when a colonizer still denies me access to the land of my ancestors, water, and electricity, while the settler colonies receive new homes, roads, schools, hospitals, playgrounds, and many other? How can I extend an olive branch to an oppressor who consistently denies my existence and tries to erase my story?
"Where Olive Trees Weep" provides a harrowing insight into the and resilience of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation. It delves into themes of the quest for justice and the trauma experienced by children.
This ancient holy land bears deep scars, having witnessed the brutal reality of ancestral land confiscation, expulsions, imprisonment, torture, rape, home demolitions, water deprivation, and denial of basic human rights. Yet, through the veil of oppression, we glimpse resilience—deep roots that have carried the Palestinian people through decades of darkness and shattered lives.
This emotional journey questions humanity of the oppressed while grappling with the question: what makes the oppressor who were oppressed by Hitler so ruthlessly blind to its own cruelty?
The message to humanity is clear and unequivocal: Palestinians may have been chased out of Palestine, but they are patient and, some day, they will return. Palestine will be free from the River to the Sea! And for me I will continue writing until the blood stops flowing in my veins.
