COMMUNITIES worldwide are in the mourning of this great religious leader. We pray that the Lord bestows upon him the highest blessings and eternal glory. At the age of 88, Pope Francis is no longer with us. He will undoubtedly remain immortalized in the annals of our community forever. As millions mourn his passing in the days ahead, will they honor his wishes? Will they extend same care and compassion to Gazans and Palestinians as he did?

I came to think of this meeting with Sistani today. A rare meeting, but obviously a fruitful meeting. Hopefully the dialogue with continue also after the Pope now have passed away. Let it be a reminder of the close ties that exist if only we are willing to see them.
